Get a grip! Treat pavements and pedestrian areas

The popular Swingo compact sweeper is not just for spring, summer and autumn. It will work all year round – even providing an effective solution to treating pavements and pedestrian areas during winter snow and ice. Replacing the front mounted brushes with a 1.5m Snowplough or 1.6m Snowbrush and at the rear install a specially developed spreader system on a pre-installed triangular mounting – and the Swingo becomes the ideal winter maintenance vehicle for pavements, footpaths, pedestrian precincts and foot bridges.

The salt hopper has a capacity of 200 litres and can be replenished from salt stored in the Swingo’s waste hopper. The spreader incorporates a rotating scraper
and an agitator to ensure even distribution. Dosage is manually adjusted, with an option for in-cab control. The added flexibility of a comfortable, easy to drive sweeper that will also spread salt means that local authorities can switch the
Swingo from being a dedicated, highly efficient sweeper, to a winter maintenance
solution quickly and easily. Councils can therefore further demonstrate their commitment to Best Value and performance.
